Job summary

Remedy Education are currently working with a fantastic primary school in Newham and are looking for a strong SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive and inclusive setting. You will be providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of SEN, including behavioural needs, helping students stay engaged and make progress.

The role is long-term and full-time, 8:30am–4:00pm, paying £100–£115 per day, with a potential to go permanent.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with SEN and challenging behaviour in a school setting.
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.
  • Support the class teacher with lesson delivery and planning.
  • Manage behaviour and support emotional regulation.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement.
  • Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
