Job summary

Teaching Vacancies in Stockport is seeking a compassionate, patient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of SEN needs. You should be child-centred, demonstrate initiative and remain flexible to adapt calmly to changing situations.

You will work under the supervision of the class teacher and senior leadership team to promote inclusion across curriculum areas, assist with planning and resources, monitor progress and provide feedback.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a focus on SEN.
• Child-centred approach with initiative and flexibility in changing situations.
• Ability to support pupils across a range of SEN needs.

Responsibilities

• Promote inclusion and equal opportunities for all pupils.
• Support teaching staff with lesson planning, preparation and resources.
• Assist with teaching across whole class, groups and individuals.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers.
• Safeguard pupils' welfare and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Assist with safeguarding and behavioural management as directed.
