Thomas Bewick C of E Primary School in Ashington is seeking a patient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team. You will help deliver planned activities, adapt resources for individual needs and monitor progress, working closely with teachers to foster confidence, inclusion and achievement for every pupil.

The role focuses on promoting independence, positive relationships and emotional well-being, with opportunities for professional development and attendance at school

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned learning activities as agreed with the teacher, adapting materials to suit the needs of the children where necessary
• Help ensure all children can access their learning materials and activities
• Monitor, record and assess the development of the children and discuss any concerns with the teacher
• Support the children's social and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable in the learning environment
