The Northumberland Church of England Academy is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team in the new provision at The Cabin. You will work with children on a day-to-day basis, providing personalised support to help them learn and develop, both individually and in small groups.
The role offers a progression route to a higher level teaching assistant position for the right candidate, following a successful probationary period.
Salary: Band 3 £25,583 – £25,989 pro rata (£19,389 – £19,696 actual)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, term time plus 5 additional days

The Cabin is a brand new provision designed to support children with SEMH and SLCN needs, providing high quality bespoke support for the children, with a trauma informed approach to learning.
As we move into a new phase of our journey, we are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join the experienced team and work closely with the children on a day to day basis and provide personalised support that helps the children learn and develop.
The ideal candidate will work both individually and with small groups of children with a range of different needs, helping them thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
We are also able to offer an exciting opportunity for a motivated teaching assistant to grow with us, with a progression route to a higher level teaching assistant position available for the right candidate, following a successful probationary period.
