Job summary

Protocol Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Barking & Dagenham. You will support pupils with additional needs across different year groups, delivering 1:1 or small-group support and helping pupils access the curriculum.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and the wider SEN team to promote positive behaviour and an inclusive learning environment, adapting support to meet individual needs.

Qualifications

• Providing 1:1 or small-group support to pupils with SEN.
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Confident across different year groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
• Support pupils' learning, development and engagement.
• Help pupils access the curriculum and build confidence.
• Work closely with teachers and the SEN team.
• Support positive behaviour and create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Adapt support to meet individual pupil needs.
