Job summary

Rochdale Council seeks two temporary Teaching Assistant Level 4+ to work with pupils with complex additional educational needs across Nursery to Year 6 at Springside Special School. The roles require flexibility to work across Springside sites and a commitment to compassionate, inclusive education.

Applicants must have GCSE English and Maths at A*-C (9-4) or equivalent and a Level 3 qualification or Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship. Strong spoken English is essential.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C or 9-4 or Level 2 in Literacy/Numeracy or CSE Grade 1 in English and Maths.
• NQF/QCF/RQF Level 3 qualification or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship.
• Ability to converse with customers and service users in accurate spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Assist pupils with complex needs across Nursery to Year 6 across multiple Springside sites.
• Deliver personalised learning experiences and support learners to engage in school life.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and support teams to promote wellbeing and inclusion.
• Contribute to creating a positive, caring classroom environment.
