Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Liverpool is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEND and SEMH needs in a welcoming primary school. This is a long-term, full-time role with an immediate start and pay of £14.25–£15.50 per hour.

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual strategies, build positive relationships, and support learning across the school day while fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment for every child.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children, young people or vulnerable adults with SEND/SEMH needs.
  • Patient, resilient and nurturing approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to stay calm and adaptable in challenging situations.
  • Genuine passion for children's development and wellbeing.
  • Previous education experience is desirable but not essential.

SEN Teaching Assistant - L32, Liverpool
Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunity | Immediate Start Available
£14.25 - £15.50 per hour

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the L32 area of Liverpool. This is a long-term role supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, with the potential to continue for the full academic year.

This opportunity would suit an individual who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning. Whilst previous school-based experience is not essential, experience supporting children or young adults with SEND and SEMH needs is a key requirement.

The Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
