Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support secondary schools across Wirral (Birkenhead, Wallasey, South Wirral and surrounding areas). This full-time, long-term role offers a daily rate of £95–£110 and starts ASAP.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support, helping students with SEN to progress academically, socially and emotionally. You will collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams to deliver tailored strategies, promote positive behaviour, and

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or SEN Support Worker.
• Experience with SEND including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties.
• Confident working with secondary-aged pupils.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential.

SEN Teaching Assistant - Secondary Schools

Location: Wirral (Birkenhead, Wallasey, South Wirral and surrounding areas)

Pay: £95 - £110 per day

Hours: 6.5-hour school day

Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term

Teaching Personnel Liverpool & Wirral are currently seeking experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to support a number of our partnership secondary schools across the Wirral. We are working closely with schools in Birkenhead, Wallasey, South Wirral, and surrounding areas to recruit dedicated support staff for full-time, long-term positions starting as soon as possible.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and committed Teaching Assistant looking to make a positive impact on the education and development of secondary-aged students with additional learning needs.

The Role

• Experience supporting young people with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties.
• Confident working with secondary-aged pupils.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential.
