Prospero Teaching is partnering with a SEN school in Newcastle to recruit a dedicated support practitioner. The role involves assisting pupils with varied SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, ensuring a safe and engaging classroom.

Pupils have ASD, ADHD, PMLD, MLD and SEMH; some may be non-verbal and some may require Personal Care, so a flexible, compassionate approach is essential. The position starts ASAP; pay ranges from £93-£115 per day, and is full-time until the end of the Academic Year

Qualifications

• Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare-based Qualification (desired)
• Experience of working with Children in UK Schools
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Resilient, proactive and positive in nature
• Right to Work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one
• Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years

Responsabilités

• Support pupils with varied SEN on 1:1 and small-group basis
• Adapt support to pupils with ASD, ADHD, PMLD, MLD and SEMH
• Assist pupils who may be non-verbal or require Personal Care
• Collaborate with Class Teachers and staff to understand needs and learning styles
