Job summary

Ten90 Recruitment Group Ltd in London is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work with students with Special Educational Needs, supporting learning and personal development.

You will collaborate with teachers and SENCO, implement IEPs, and help create an inclusive, engaging classroom. This role requires empathy, patience, and effective communication.

Experience with children and a TA qualification are desirable; enhanced DBS check will be required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Empathy and patience in supporting pupils.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of lessons and ensure students are engaged.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support and help understanding lesson content.
• Assist in developing and implementing IEPs for students.
• Help maintain a positive, structured classroom environment and manage behaviour.
• Provide personal care support as required and ensure student safety.
• Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to monitor progress and adjust support strategies.
• Set up learning resources and participate in meetings and professional development.
• Maintain records of student progress and assist with assessments.
