Job summary

Aspire People Limited is seeking a caring SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs in a positive, inclusive learning environment in Greater London.

You will work with class teachers and the SEN team to support students' academic, social and emotional development, one-to-one or in small groups, focusing on needs such as ASD, ADHD and speech and language difficulties. Training can be provided and you’ll contribute to a supportive school community.

Qualifications

• Be patient, empathetic, and reliable.
• Have a genuine interest in supporting children with SEN.
• Be able to work well as part of a team.
• Have good communication skills.
• Previous experience is desirable but not essential (training can be provided).

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEN in the classroom and during activities.
• Assist with implementing individual learning plans (ILPs).
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and parents/carers.
