Job summary

Ten90 Recruitment Group Ltd is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work alongside the class teacher to support students with Special Educational Needs in a welcoming school setting. The role focuses on delivering tailored support to individuals or small groups and helping students progress academically and personally.

You will contribute to developing and implementing IEPs, support classroom management, and assist with personal care and wellbeing when needed.

Qualifications

Experience working with children or young people, especially those with special educational needs.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; patient and empathetic.
Ability to collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and support staff to implement plans.

Responsibilities

Assist in the delivery of lessons and ensure students are engaged and learning effectively.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students; help with tasks and understanding content.
Support development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Help maintain a positive, structured classroom environment and manage behaviour according to school policies.
Provide personal care and wellbeing support where required and report concerns appropriately.
Collaborate with teachers and staff to monitor progress and adjust support strategies.
