Job summary

Ten 90 Recruitment Group is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs in an English school. You will work with the class teacher to deliver tailored support and help students engage with lessons.

You will assist with personal care as needed, help develop IEPs, monitor progress, and contribute to safeguarding compliance via enhanced DBS checks. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people, including those with SEN.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy, patience and resilience in challenging situations.
• Ability to work well in a team and also independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering lessons and supporting individual students or small groups.
• Support classroom management and promote a positive learning environment.
• Provide personal care and wellbeing assistance where required.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress and adjust support.
• Record student progress and assist with assessments as needed.
• Attend training and development activities to improve practice.
