Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support learners in primary settings in Abergavenny. You will work 1:1 and in small groups, helping maintain pupil safety and welfare, and assist the class teacher in delivering lessons.

Ideal candidates have SEN experience, patience, and a proactive, cooperative mindset. We provide bespoke candidate support, a competitive day rate, and access to further training.

Qualifications

• SEN experience in primary schools is desirable.
• Patient and proactive educator with cooperative approach.
• Ability to support pupils 1:1 and in groups.

Responsibilities

• Carry out professional duties, support group and 1:1 with pupils.
• Ensure safety and welfare of pupils during lessons.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities.
• Engage in forest school opportunities where available.
