Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment Ltd. is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support children in mainstream primary settings across Guildford, Surrey.

The role emphasizes 1:1 pupil support, assisting with SEND needs such as ASD and ADHD, and helping students learn and regulate emotions within a nurturing environment. Ideal candidates will have 6+ months experience, an Enhanced DBS, and be available Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience supporting children with additional needs.
• Level 2 TA qualification preferred; Level 3 desirable.
• Experience as a TA in SEND or inclusive settings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 tailored support for your assigned pupil.
• Support SEND including ASD and ADHD.
• Support learning, emotional regulation, and social development.
• Collaborate with class teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCP targets and support plans.
• Adapt resources to meet individual needs of each child.
• Promote a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

Supporting children in mainstream primary schools across Guildford, Surrey!

The Role:

• Provide 1:1 tailored support for your assigned pupil
• Be confident to support SEND, including ASD, ADHD, Emotional Dysregulation
• Support learning, emotional regulation, and social development
• Work alongside class teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCP target and support plan
• Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs of the child
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

• At least 6 months experience supporting children with additional needs
• Ideally hold minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3 desirable)
• Has previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within SEND or inclusion
• Confident supporting pupils with additional needs in a mainstream primary setting
• Patient, empathetic, and committed to pupil progress and well-being
• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
• Available Monday to Friday

Pay: £93 per day for candidates with a minimum of 3 months experience supporting children or young people in an educational, care or SEND setting. £100 per day for candidates who hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and have over 12 months previous experience supporting pupils with SEND including ASc, ADHD, SEMH or SLD or experience with personal care.
