Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a South West London Educational Learning Provision (ELP) in September. The role focuses on supporting pupils with SEN, SEMH, ASD, ADHD and behavioural needs to access learning and develop independence.

We offer full-time positions with September 2026 start dates or immediate opportunities. PAYE pay rate is £90-£120 per day, with no umbrella companies involved and comprehensive consultant support during your recruitment

Qualifications

  • Have experience supporting children or young people with SEN, SEMH, ASD, ADHD or behavioural needs.
  • Experience in an Educational Learning Provision (ELP) or specialist provision is desirable.
  • Calm, patient and resilient when working in challenging situations.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
  • Work well as part of a wider school and multidisciplinary team.
  • Fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs

  • Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, confidence and independence

  • Working closely with teachers and the wider school team to support pupils' academic, social and emotional development
  • Creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment

Teaching Personnel are working with a specialist Educational Learning Provision (ELP) in the South West London area who are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in September.

This role involves supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including SEMH, ASD, ADHD and behavioural needs, helping them to access learning, develop independence and achieve their full potential.

We are looking for compassionate, resilient, and proactive individuals who want the consistency, progression, and reward of working full-time in a supportive specialist setting where every child's well-being, development, and success are the priority.

As a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant within an Educational Learning Provision, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs
  • Supporting pupils to access the curriculum and achieve individual learning targets

  • Are passionate about supporting children with additional needs
  • Work well as part of a wider school and multidisciplinary team
  • Bring enthusiasm, professionalism and a positive attitude to every day
  • Are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
