Job summary

Aspire People in Horncastle is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs, including autism and ADHD. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 08:30–15:30, in a nurturing school environment.

You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver inclusive lessons, support individual pupils, help implement IEPs and behaviour strategies, monitor progress and wellbeing, and foster a safe, positive learning atmosphere. An enhanced DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (desirable)
• Understanding of autism and ADHD, and strategies to support these needs
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Support pupils with autism and ADHD in managing behaviour and staying focused
• Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
• Monitor and report on pupil progress and wellbeing
