Job summary

CER Education Recruitment is recruiting teaching assistants to support children in primary and SEN schools across the Sefton area, with flexible day-to-day or long-term roles starting September.

Roles include assisting pupils 1:1 or in small groups, helping with lesson preparation, and promoting a positive learning environment. An enhanced DBS is required or willingness to apply via CER.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a teaching assistant role or working with children.
• A relevant qualification in education is desirable.
• An enhanced DBS on the live update service is required, or willingness to apply for one through CER.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the classroom, 1:1 or in small groups, delivering engaging activities.
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities, supporting an inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to class teachers.
• Promote positive behaviours and help manage classroom routines, including break times.
