Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with complex needs across Newcastle-under-Lyme. You will work in mainstream schools with SEN hubs and specialist settings, helping children access learning, build confidence and reach their potential.

Ideal candidates have a caring, patient approach and good teamwork. Prior school-based experience is welcomed but not essential, with ongoing consultant support and flexible, long-term or permanent opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
• A caring, patient, and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide vital support to pupils with SEN to access learning.
• Help pupils to build confidence and achieve their potential.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement strategies.
