Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and other needs across local schools. You will provide 1:1 and small group support, help with learning, communication and emotional regulation, and promote a safe, inclusive classroom.

Experience in SEN is preferred; training such as Team Teach, Makaton or PECS is highly desirable. A calm, patient, resilient approach and a genuine passion for helping vulnerable learners are essential.

Qualifications

• SEN experience preferred.
• Team Teach, Makaton, PECS or similar training desirable.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners.
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
• Support learning, communication and emotional regulation.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Help implement behaviour and learning support plans.
• Work with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
• Create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
