Job summary

Aspire People Limited is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of needs across local schools. You will be providing 1:1 and small group support, assisting with learning and emotional regulation, and helping implement individual plans.

The role offers flexibility across multiple settings and opportunities for long-term or permanent positions, with ongoing training and competitive pay rates. Prior SEN experience and DBS disclosure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with pupils who have special educational needs is preferred.
• Training in Team Teach, Makaton, PECS or similar is highly desirable.
• A calm, patient and resilient approach is essential.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
• Support learning, communication, and emotional regulation.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Help implement behaviour and learning support plans.
• Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
• Create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
