Job summary

Aspire People seeks empathetic SEN Teaching Assistants to support students in primary and secondary settings across Northamptonshire. Roles include flexible short- and long-term assignments, with temp-to-perm options and dedicated consultant support.

Ideal candidates have experience with SEN, patience, and strong communication. DBS check or willingness to obtain one is required; TA Level 2/3 or equivalent is beneficial but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEN is essential.

• Current DBS check or willingness to apply is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN.
• Assist the class teacher in adapting and delivering lessons.
• Support students with tasks and activities to promote development.
• Help with classroom management to keep students engaged.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with SENCOs and therapists on individual learning plans.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback.
• Support students during breaks and school activities as needed.
