Teach is recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs across a range of mainstream schools and specialist settings. We offer day-to-day, short-term, long-term and permanent roles, with flexible placements to suit your skills and availability.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND in a school, care or similar setting.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
• Assisting children with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties
• Encouraging pupils to engage with learning and achieve their individual goals
• Working alongside teachers to deliver tailored learning activities
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Supporting pupils in line with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), where appropriate
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
• Following all school safeguarding and behaviour policies
