Job summary

Teach is seeking experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to support children with SEND across primary, secondary and specialist settings in the UK. Roles include day-to-day, short-term, long-term and permanent opportunities with flexible hours to fit your availability.

Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 3:30pm, with competitive pay and dedicated support from an education consultant. A patient, caring approach and safeguarding commitment are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND in a school or similar setting.
• Patient, caring and positive approach; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible and professional attitude with safeguarding commitment.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with additional needs.
• Support pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH and other SEND requirements.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging learning activities.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers.
• Follow EHCPs where appropriate; maintain accurate records and safeguarding procedures.
