Job summary

Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEN in primary settings across Kirklees and Calderdale. You will work with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to deliver tailored learning activities and foster inclusion.

Excellent communication, patience and dedication are essential. Relevant qualifications or Enhanced DBS are advantageous. Competitive daily rates and flexible hours are on offer.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN.
• Supporting the delivery of tailored learning activities and interventions.
• Encouraging pupil engagement, independence, and social development.
• Assisting with behavioural and emotional support where required.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Supporting the implementation of EHCPs.
• Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
