Job summary

Aspire People Limited is seeking enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with various needs across local schools in the United Kingdom.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, supporting learning, behaviour strategies, and collaborating with teachers and SENCOs. DBS checks will be required or in process. Flexible work across settings offers opportunities for long-term and permanent placements.

Qualifications

• SEN experience preferred in school, care, youth work or similar.
• Team Teach, Makaton, PECS or similar training is highly desirable.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
• Supporting learning, communication, and emotional regulation.
• Assisting with personal care where required.
• Helping implement behaviour and learning support plans.
• Working alongside teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
• Creating a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
