Job summary

Prospero Teaching are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant at a specialist school in Altrincham. The role involves supporting pupils with SEN, SEMH, ASD, ADHD and behavioural needs on a 1:1 and small group basis, and assisting in delivering tailored learning programmes.

We are seeking calm, patient individuals who can promote a safe and structured learning environment and help pupils develop confidence and life skills. Immediate start offered with ongoing career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Background in SEN, SEMH, care, youth work or education is desirable.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour positively and effectively.
• Passion for helping pupils achieve their potential.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Assisting students with social, emotional and behavioural needs
• Encouraging engagement within lessons and school activities
• Supporting the class teacher in delivering tailored learning programmes
