Job summary

Prospero Teaching are recruiting a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in Altrincham. This is a rewarding role supporting pupils with SEN, SEMH, ASD and other complex needs in a supportive environment.

The role involves planning differentiated lessons, managing behaviour, contributing to EHCP targets, and working with TAs, parents and external agencies. Immediate start available with competitive daily rates of £160-£230 depending on experience.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching children with SEN, SEMH, ASD or complex needs.
  • Strong behaviour and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs.
  • Support pupils with complex learning, social, emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Create a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve engagement and attainment.
  • Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents and external agencies.
  • Contribute to EHCP reviews and target setting.
  • Promote pupils' confidence, independence and wellbeing.

SEN Teacher

Specialist School, Altrincham

£160-£230 per day (dependent on experience) | Full-Time | Immediate Start Available

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in Altrincham. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive environment, helping pupils with a range of additional and complex needs achieve both academically and personally.

The school supports pupils with a variety of needs, including SEN, SEMH, ASD, ADHD and associated behavioural challenges. As such, this role would suit a resilient and adaptable teacher who is passionate about making a lasting impact on the lives of young people.

The Role
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Support pupils with complex learning, social, emotional and behavioural needs

The Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching children with SEN, SEMH, ASD or complex needs is desirable
