£160-£230 per day (dependent on experience) | Full-Time | Immediate Start Available
Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in Altrincham. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive environment, helping pupils with a range of additional and complex needs achieve both academically and personally.
The school supports pupils with a variety of needs, including SEN, SEMH, ASD, ADHD and associated behavioural challenges. As such, this role would suit a resilient and adaptable teacher who is passionate about making a lasting impact on the lives of young people.
The Role
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
- Support pupils with complex learning, social, emotional and behavioural needs
- Create a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environment
- Develop and implement strategies to improve engagement and attainment
- Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents and external agencies
- Contribute to EHCP reviews and target setting
- Promote pupils' confidence, independence and wellbeing

The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching children with SEN, SEMH, ASD or complex needs is desirable
- Strong behaviour management and classroom management skills
- Patient, resilient and adaptable approach
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Safeguarding & Compliance
- Complete an enhanced DBS check registered to the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
