Job summary

TimePlan Education Group is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs at a specialist school on the Wirral. The role starts immediately and is term-time, full-time.

The SEN Teaching Assistant will provide 1:1 and small-group support, assist with EHCP targets, and help promote wellbeing, behaviour, and communication while working within an established academy trust.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people in SEN or SEMH settings.
• Patient, empathetic and resilient approach.
• Confident supporting behaviour and individual learning needs.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual needs.
• Support students with SEN and SEMH needs.
• Help implement EHCP targets, learning activities and personalised interventions.
• Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and wellbeing.
• Encourage communication, confidence, social skills and independence.
• Work closely with teachers, families and external professionals to support student progress.
