Job summary

Red Box are currently seeking a Special Education Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant – Deaf Support Base with BSL to support pupils in a mainstream primary school in Tower Hamlets. This is a long-term supply role, full-time, with daily pay of £105 including statutory holiday pay.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months' experience with autism, challenging behaviour and complex needs, plus Deaf Support Base experience with BSL.

Qualifications

• 6+ months experience with autism, challenging behaviour and complex needs.
• Deaf Support Base experience with BSL (British Sign Language).
• Experience in a UK classroom setting is preferred.
• Commitment and flexibility in role.
• Strong behaviour management and classroom support skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Understanding of primary school curriculum.
• Excellent work ethic and positive attitude; ability to build relationships with pupils and staff.
• Enhanced DBS on update service or willingness to arrange one.
• Excellent references covering at least 2 years of employment.
