Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding special school in Cardiff, working with pupils aged 4-11 with a range of ALN. The position is a 12-month contract starting September and offers ongoing support from Aspire People.

The role involves 1:1 and small group support, assisting with tailored learning activities, promoting engagement and positive behaviour, and working closely with teachers and the support staff. Personal care may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience in a regulated childcare/education setting.
• Relevant childcare/education qualification (Level 2/3 or equivalent).
• Calm, patient, and committed approach.
• SEN experience desirable but not essential.

Aspire People are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding special school in Cardiff, working with pupils aged 4-11 with a range of Additional Learning Needs (ALN).

This is a long-term opportunity starting in September, ideal for someone passionate about supporting children and young people with SEN.

The Role:

• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups
• Assist with tailored learning activities
• Promote engagement, independence, and positive behaviour
• Work closely with teachers and support staff
• Personal care

Requirements:
