Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting an SEN Provision Teaching Assistant to work in a Bloxwich school on a 1:1 basis with a pupil with additional needs. This role focuses on enabling access to learning, building confidence, and promoting inclusive practice within the SEND provision.

You will support planning and delivery of activities, help manage behaviour positively, and work with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals. Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with children, ideally in a school setting.
• Understanding of SEN/additional needs.
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
• Positive, proactive approach to supporting learning.
• Level 2/3 TA qualifications desirable but not essential.

SEN Provision Teaching Assistant - Bloxwich

Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives?

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 121 Teaching Assistants to join our Aspire Team and work in one of our schools in Bloxwich. This role involves providing tailored support to a pupil on a one-to-one basis, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and thrive within the school environment in their SEND Provision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs, both in and out of the classroom.
• Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities.
• Help to manage behaviour in a positive and consistent way.
• Support the pupil's social and emotional development.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children (ideally in a school setting).
• Understanding of supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) or additional needs.
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
• A positive and proactive approach to supporting learning.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential.
