Job summary

Horizon Care Ltd. seeks a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for Draycott Moor School to support students with Special Educational Needs.

The role involves working 37.5 hours per week, in a full-time capacity, with a focus on 1:1 and group support inside the classroom and in related activities. You will assist with behavioural support, help implement learning activities, and work closely with teaching staff to foster an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children who have behavioural support needs.
• Good GCSE grades in English and Maths or equivalent.
• Willingness to work towards a recognised teaching assistant qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in their educational and social development.
• Provide support inside and outside of the classroom to enable participation in activities.
• Set up activities and adapt environments to meet students’ needs.
• Support teachers and engage with students to provide learning support in a positive, non-disruptive manner.
