Job summary

Horizon Care and Education are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils at Draycott Moor School. You will help with educational and social development, both in and out of the classroom, and adapt activities to meet individual needs.

Ideal candidates will have experience with behaviour management and GCSE English/Maths, and be willing to pursue a recognised TA qualification in a supportive, positive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with behavioural needs and SEMH.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent).
• Willingness to work towards a recognised TA qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in educational and social development.
• Provide support inside and outside the classroom to engage in activities.
• Set up activities and adapt environment or use technology for learners.
• Support teachers and interact with students in a positive, non-disruptive way.
• Provide 1:1 support to students as needed.
