Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is helping a well-resourced SEN school in Chelmsford recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision. The role runs full-time and long-term with an ASAP start, offering ongoing support from a dedicated consultant.

The school supports pupils with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs and complex learning needs. You will work across primary and secondary classes providing 1:1 and small group support to promote wellbeing and progress.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Willing to support personal care where needed.
• Strong team player with a proactive attitude.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
• Support communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
• Follow EHCP targets and individual support plans.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
