Job summary

Reed UK is seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Crewe. This full-time, long-term role involves working 1-1 with a student, providing tailored support and facilitating an inclusive educational experience.

You will provide 1-1 support, adapt learning materials to meet individual needs, assist with IEP development, monitor progress, and collaborate with teachers and parents to share updates.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEN support within a school environment.
• Understanding of challenges faced by students with SEN.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with teachers, parents, and staff.
• Patience, empathy and dedication to student development.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, or equivalent, is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-1 support to a student with SEN in lessons and activities.
• Adapt learning materials to meet the student's individual needs and abilities.
• Assist with development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Monitor the student's progress and collaborate with teachers and parents to provide updates and insights.
• Foster a nurturing and supportive learning environment that encourages student confidence and independence.
• Assist with the student's physical needs as necessary.
