Job summary

Kings Ash Children’s Academy, part of The Thinking Schools Academy Trust, is hiring a SEN Teaching Assistant on a fixed term basis. You will provide 1:1 learning support under the SENCo and assist the class teacher with teaching and pupil welfare.

We’re looking for someone who can promote positive behaviour, build confidence, and foster independent learning, with potential first aid responsibilities subject to training. Working hours: 08:30–15:20, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Provides 1:1 learning support under the guidance of the SENCo.
• Supports the class teacher in teaching and pupil welfare per EHCPs or additional needs.
• Promotes positive behaviour, self-esteem and independent learning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 support under SENCo supervision.
• Assist class teacher with lessons and pupil welfare.
• Promote positive behaviour and independence in learning.
• Possibly administer First Aid if trained.
