Job summary

Kings Ash Academy is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join on a fixed term basis. You will provide 1:1 learning support under the SENCo and assist the class teacher in teaching and pupil welfare in line with Education, Health and Care Plans.

You will help foster positive behaviour, build self-esteem, and promote independent learning to support pupils’ development and progress.

Qualifications

• Experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
• Able to support pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans or additional needs.
• Strong observation and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to differentiate learning materials for diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Assist with observation and monitoring of pupil progress.
• Maintain accurate records of interventions and achievements.
• Assist with preparation of differentiated learning materials and organise classroom displays.
• Support the delivery of engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.
• There may be a requirement to administer First Aid, subject to appropriate training.

Kings Ash Children’s Academy are seeking an experienced, dedicatedSEN Teaching Assistantto join their team on a fixed term basis. The successful candidate will provide 1:1 learning support under the guidance of the SENCo, together with supporting the class teacher in teaching and welfare in accordance with pupils’ Education, Health and Care Plans or additional educational needs.

Our SEN Teaching Assistant will play a key role in encouraging positive behaviour, promoting self-esteem, and fostering independent learning to support pupils’ overall development and academic progress.

Key responsibilities include;

• Assisting with the observation and monitoring of pupil progress.
• Maintaining accurate records of interventions and tracking achievements.
• Assist with the preparation of differentiated learning materials and organise classroom displays.
• Support the delivery of engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.

There may also be a requirement to administer First Aid, subject to appropriate training.

Working hours are 08:30 to 15:20 Monday to Friday, with a 20 minute lunch break plus an additional 20 minutes per week for continued professional development.
