Job summary

Kings Ash Children's Academy, part of The Thinking Schools Academy Trust, is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant on a fixed-term basis. You will provide 1:1 learning support under the SENCo, help the class teacher with teaching and welfare, and contribute to pupils' progress and wellbeing.

Working hours are 08:30 to 15:20, Monday to Friday, with a lunch break and time for ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Experience as SEN Teaching Assistant preferred.
  • Experience providing 1:1 support under SENCo guidance.
  • Ability to support pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans or additional needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with observation and monitoring of pupil progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of interventions and tracking achievements.
  • Prepare differentiated learning materials and organise classroom displays.
  • Support the delivery of engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.

Job description

Are you passionate about giving young children the very best start to their learning journey?, Kings Ash Children's Academy are seeking an experienced, dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a fixed term basis. The successful candidate will provide 1:1 learning support under the guidance of the SENCo, together with supporting the class teacher in teaching and welfare in accordance with pupils' Education, Health and Care Plans or additional educational needs. Our SEN Teaching Assistant will play a key role in encouraging positive behaviour, promoting self-esteem, and fostering independent learning to support pupils' overall development and academic progress.,



  • Assisting with the observation and monitoring of pupil progress.

  • Maintaining accurate records of interventions and tracking achievements.

  • Assist with the preparation of differentiated learning materials and organise classroom displays.

  • Support the delivery of engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.


There may also be a requirement to administer First Aid, subject to appropriate training. Working hours are 08:30 to 15:20 Monday to Friday, with a 20 minute lunch break plus an additional 20 minutes per week for continued professional development.
