Job summary

Randstad Education seeks an experienced Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with students aged 7-19 with complex needs, including NVLD and autism, at a Godalming school. The role offers stable hours and a supportive environment.

Hours are 32 per week, 08:30–16:00, with a no-sponsorship policy and UK right-to-work required. You will join a multidisciplinary team and receive comprehensive training and mentoring.

Qualifications

• SEN students with diverse needs, including NVLD and autism.
• Proven track record providing 1:1 support and collaborative teamwork.
• Familiar with communication methods including Makaton and signs.

Responsibilities

• Dedicated 1:1 support to assigned students to foster engagement and progress.
• Assist with core subjects, literacy, numeracy, and PSHE, building daily living skills.
• Utilise multi-sensory communication strategies to aid understanding.
• Provide emotional guidance and support self-regulation for learners.
• Collaborate with a trained team and receive ongoing mentoring and training.
