Job summary

Randstad Education seeks a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant for an outstanding school in Godalming. You will support students aged 7-19 with complex needs, including autism and NVLD, delivering targeted assistance in a well-resourced setting.

The role involves working 1:1, with training provided, a 32-hour week reflected in actual pay, and a strong focus on building trusted relationships while advancing literacy, numeracy and daily living skills.

Qualifications

• Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent) required.
• Proven track record working with SEN students.
• Experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support in special education.
• Eligibility to work in the UK; enhanced DBS required prior to appointment.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support and academic monitoring to students.
• Assist with delivery of core subjects including PSHE, numeracy and literacy.
• Use multi-sensory communication methods to support non-verbal learners.
• Offer emotional guidance and help with self-regulation.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and participate in ongoing training.
