Job summary

Teaching Personnel is assisting a welcoming school in Stafford (ST18) to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. The role involves 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND, autism and additional needs, helping access the curriculum and develop confidence.

This temporary, term-time-only position offers daily pay between £95 and £110, depending on experience, and an opportunity to contribute to an inclusive learning environment with ongoing safeguarding training and DBS checks.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEN/SEND and autism or additional needs.
• Patience, resilience and empathy in supporting learners.
• Excellent communication and teamwork to collaborate with teachers and parents.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND.
• Support pupils with SEND to access the curriculum and develop independence.
• Build positive relationships to encourage confidence and engagement.
• Assist teachers with delivering lessons and adapting activities to individual needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and social development; support education plans.
