Job summary

GSL Education is recruiting Teaching Assistants for an Ofsted‑listed SEN School in Leicester. The role involves 1:1 and general classroom support for pupils across Early Years to Year 8, within a safe and engaging learning environment.

A DBS registered to the Update Service is preferred, with responsibilities across KS1–KS2 and school-day hours 8:30am–3:30pm. The position starts immediately, offering a bank arrangement that can become full‑time, temporary to permanent.

Qualifications

• DBS updated to the Update Service or willing to apply via GSL Education.
• Experience with children in learning environments and schools.
• Experience with various SEN and vulnerable individuals.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and general classroom support.
• Assist children with daily activities.
• Support the class teacher to plan and deliver activities.
• Create and organise displays.
• Assess pupil progress and ensure a safe learning environment.
• Work across KS1 and KS2 with additional support as needed.
