Job summary

Randstad Staffing is seeking a proactive Teaching Assistant to join a SEN-focused setting in Horsham. You will support Autistic students 1:1 and in groups, assisting with a personalised curriculum while following the teacher's plans.

The role operates Monday to Friday, 08:30–16:15, term-time only. Benefits include on-the-job training, funded development, onsite parking and meals, and regular staff recognition awards.

Qualifications

• The ability to work with learners that have various SEN needs.
• A willingness to learn and build relationships with learners.
• Confidence to support the lead in groups, in different educational subjects.
• The ability to work as an individual and as a part of the team.
• Flexibility in their approach to education.
• GCSE Maths and English (minimum requirement).

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to the teacher as per weekly/daily plans.
• Work 1:1 with students and support small groups.
• Deliver planned activities for learners under teacher guidance.
• Support learners’ well-being within the school environment.
• Monitor and evaluate learners’ progress with supervision.
• Help maintain a calm, structured classroom for all pupils.
