Job summary

TimePlan Education Group is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support primary-aged pupils with SEND at a welcoming school in Wythenshawe. Immediate start for the new academic year, with a daily rate of £95–£105 depending on experience.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, collaborate with the SEN team, and help pupils engage with learning, build confidence and independence in a safe, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate is patient, resilient, compassionate and proactive (desirable).
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in SEN, education, care, youth work or support settings (desirable).
  • Team Teach training or willingness to undertake it (desirable).

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with ASC/Autism and a range of SEND needs.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships to encourage engagement and progress.
  • Support learning activities and adapt approaches to individual needs.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals.
  • Provide consistent, patient and encouraging support throughout the school day.

A warm and welcoming primary school in Wythenshawe, South Manchester is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join its supportive team from September. The school boasts an excellent, well-resourced SEN hub and is committed to creating an inclusive environment where every pupil is supported to thrive.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Behaviour Support Assistant or Care Worker looking to develop their career within a nurturing primary school.

The Role

Working alongside teachers and the wider SEN team, you will provide tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them engage with learning, develop confidence and build independence.
