Hays has been approached by a primary school in the Golborne area who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to start in September through until October half-term. This will be working in the Y1 classroom and working with SEN. This school provides a broad and balanced curriculum that meets the needs of all pupils, regardless of ability or background. We have an extremely good relationship with this school and have always had good feedback from staff placed there, with some roles even turning permanent.
In the role as a teaching assistant, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to the class teacher as well as supporting the needs of the SEN pupils within the Y1 class. There are additional needs within the classes, so you will need to have prior experience working with SEN. You will need to provide additional support with phonics, reading, maths and english. You should possess good behaviour management skills and be able to hit the ground running when being placed in the school.
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess recent experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting. You will need to be available to start in September and commit fully to the role.
In return, you will be paid a highly competitive daily rate and will be working in this successful school where you will become an integral part of a welcoming team of TA's. You will therefore have the opportunity to further develop your own teaching assistant skills and experience.
A dedicated consultant will always be on hand should you have any questions or concerns.
