Connex Education Partnership is recruiting energetic Teaching Assistants for a specialist school in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. You will support children and young people aged 4-19 with SLD, PMLD, autism and complex needs in a small, well-staffed class.

You’ll work alongside teachers, therapists and SEND professionals, delivering sensory learning, communication activities and practical life skills. Full training and ongoing support are provided to help you progress.

SEND Teaching Assistant - Specialist School - Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

A specialist school in Bury St Edmunds needs energetic, resilient Teaching Assistants to support children and young people aged 4-19 with SLD, PMLD, autism and complex physical needs.

You’ll work in a small, well-staffed class alongside teachers, therapists and experienced SEND professionals. Support will include sensory learning, communication activities, practical life skills, mobility and personal care where required.

Experience with Makaton, communication aids, complex needs or care work would be useful, but attitude matters just as much. You must be patient, hands-on and able to celebrate progress that happens one small step at a time.
