Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking energetic SEND Teaching Assistants for a specialist school in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. You will support children and young people aged 4–19 with SLD, PMLD, autism and complex needs in a small, well-staffed class.

Working alongside teachers, therapists and experienced SEND professionals, you’ll assist with sensory learning, communication activities, and practical life skills. Full training is provided, and safeguarding checks apply.

Qualifications

• Experience with Makaton, communication aids or complex needs is beneficial.
• Patient, hands-on and able to celebrate progress.
• Full support and specialist training provided.

Responsibilities

Experience with Makaton, communication aids, complex needs or care work would be useful, but attitude matters just as much. You must be patient, hands-on and able to celebrate progress that happens one small step at a time.
