Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with diverse and complex needs in Stowmarket and surrounding areas. You can choose Day-to-Day cover or long-term placements, gaining exposure to various specialist settings and building strong, impactful relationships with students.

Ideal candidates will have experience with complex needs such as ASC/SEMH, ADHD or SLD/PMLD, a calm approach to behaviour management, and the ability to support IEPs under teacher

Candidate Requirements:

Proven experience supporting children or young adults with complex needs, such as ASC (Autism Spectrum Conditions), SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), ADHD, or Severe/Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (SLD/PMLD).

A calm, empathetic, and highly resilient approach to behaviour management and pupil engagement.

The ability to support individualised learning plans (IEPs) under the guidance of the classroom teacher.

Familiarity with alternative communication methods (e.g., PECS, Makaton) or specific physical intervention training (e.g., Team-Teach) is highly advantageous but not essential.

A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete a new check).
