Supply Desk Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant in Waterlooville, Hampshire. ASAP start, full-time, long-term contract. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils, assist those with SEN, and help them access the curriculum while working with teachers to create engaging lessons.

Supply Desk are working closely with a supportive secondary school in the Waterlooville area who are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.

Providing 1:1 and small-group support to students
Supporting pupils with SEN and additional learning needs
Helping students access the curriculum and develop their independence
Working alongside teachers to deliver engaging learning activities
Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Assisting with behaviour management
Helping prepare learning resources and materials
Supporting teachers with monitoring and tracking student progress
Encouraging students to develop confidence and achieve their potential
Passionate about supporting children and young people
Patient, calm and nurturing
Confident working with students with additional needs
A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
Able to work effectively as part of a team
Adaptable and willing to take on new challenges
Reliable, positive and committed
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or within an SEN setting is desirable, but relevant transferable experience will also be considered.
